Corporate Shots

Yesterday was the first time in a long time I have taken some business head shots. All the skills I learnt during my time as a school photographer were finally put into practise.
A very quick and easy shoot, gotta love only having to take half of my equipment with me!
Even a hot chocolate provided upon arrival - Thank you kind sir!

First Maternity Shoot!

Experienced my first maternity shoot on the weekend and I think I have found a new love. Couldn't have had a better couple to share it with. So funny and down to earth this expectant couple couldn't be more excited and anxious to welcome their new baby. After thoroughly perusing the Internet they had some great shot ideas that worked out terrific and I cannot take the cake for them!
Fantastic photographs - can't wait to photograph the little boy or girl when they arrive into their special family.

Family pics at the Lighthouse

I have lived a half an hour away my whole life and have never been to the Beacon Lighthouse Reserve at Point Cartwright! What a beautiful place! Great place to take family photos for your mum's birthday. And that's exactly what these guys did. What a bubbly bunch. Some very unique photos and a little sunburn!

Bush Boys

Yesterday morning was spent shooting the most good looking / natured family. We went bush walking at Albany Creek. The boys, starting out their modelling careers did a wonderful job. They knew exactly what they wanted and weren't afraid to try things out. I have to say there are a lot of great photos from this shoot. I have never seen anyone get changed as fast and as many times as they did in a period of about two hours! Well done!
I wish you both the best in your careers and with your ambition I have absolutely no doubt you'll make it to the big time.

A long day.. But very fun!

Four different models, four different looks and a creative make - up artist!
Very pleased to say all went well and cant wait to start editing all the images. Thanks so much to Sarah a wonderful make-up and hair stylist, you did a magnificent job. Your work speaks for itself you are very talented.
Big thanks to all the models who took part in todays shoots. you all did a great job. Especially the ones who were modelling like this for the first time.
After three cancelled attempts to do this shoot I am so happy it all worked out in the end.
Portfolio will be updated once all the images are done.. hope they will intrigue you all and wonder at the possibilities of Graphite Photography. Your imagination is the limit. i am now utterly exhausted and ready for a long sleep!
Until next time...

Family fun day

Taking pictures in the middle of the day is a big no no.
Too windy
Too sunny
People are hungry...
But we did it and did it like a pro... well kinda.
They say you shouldn't work with animals and children and we conquered both. The images with both looking into the camera at the same time are limited but look great when it happened.
After we had to relocate from the preferred location due to wind we were on our way.
Some great snaps for the family album.

Pictures in the park

To no avail it rained Wed, Thurs, Fri.
For some the right of passage from teen school bounds to the freedoms of a greater life is very exciting and also nerve racking. The final year of high school is both stressful and carefree, both awkward and comfortable.
To mark the passing of some 13years of sitting in a classroom doing as you are told by some of the greatest and not so greatest of mentors along the way, we go through a myriad of celebrations. these of course include school leadership camps, holiday tours, dinners, awards nights, masses, graduation parades and lets not forget the year 12 formal.
This is exactly the special occation I was invited to share with some of this years finest of school leavers. The rain to our surprise came to a stop just in time. The sun, glitter, tule, hair spray and fake tans came out.
As girls are on nearly all of these big occassions running late, I want to thank them for missing out on some pre formal celebrations with their friends and families to get some quick snaps before their big night. The park was green from all the rain, the ducks and lizards were out sunning themselves and the buzz of excitment of night before schoolies week parties kicked in.
Stay tuned for some pics of the day and the girls and guys looking gorgeous...
